Phenomena Glass offers custom designed suncatchers, windows, and lighting projects. I would love to hear your ideas and work together on a piece for you or your loved one. Custom pieces make meaningful gifts to memorialize a place, time, favorite flora and fauna, or anything else that inspires you. I love to draw from nature and translate ideas into colorful, bold, and meaningful pieces that will spark joy as they shimmer and refract light into your home. Process

I work closely with clients to bring their ideas to life. Some know exactly what they are looking for, and some have no idea. I will sketch and bring ideas to fit your needs. I draw all my patterns, and revise till I have a design that is beautiful and lasting. This includes presenting color options (though color matching with glass is not a guarantee). I build your piece in my studio, and then safely package and ship to your door ready to hang. Cost for a custom piece includes design time with revisions, materials, fabrication time, and shipping.   • Tell me your idea and inspiration for the project. Some clients have an idea of the subject, size, and color palette they are interested in. I can also work from historic patterns such as a Frank Lloyd Wright design to match the character of a home.

  • With your input, I spend time sketching and will present 3 options to review. Once we have settled on a direction, I refine the design and colors to make a unique pattern ready for glass.

  • Your piece gets hand-made in my Minneapolis workshop by me. I work in both the copper foil (Tiffany) style, and leaded came style depending on the project. To create a stained glass work, first I find the best sheets of glass to match the color, texture, and opacity for the project. Each piece is cut and fit to the pattern, and depending on the construction method is either wrapped in copper foil, soldered, cleaned, and finished. Or fitted to the pattern with lead came, soldered, cemented, and finished.

  • Suncatchers and lighting will be safely wrapped, packaged, and shipped to your door, ready to hang.
